Portfolio: A Fansite for the Jon Stewart Sanity Rally

As a big Jon Stewart Fan, when the Rally to Restore Sanity was announced, I couldn't contain my excitement. The idea of a relaxed, easy-going and satire-heavy parody rally on the eve of the election week made me a little giddy inside. I made the site as an outlet for my enthusiasm, and in the end I was pleased with my work. The website helped many people stay up-to-date with the news and announcements related to the rally, in addition to giving folks some rally-day tips for getting around Washington.

Although the site hasn't been updated since the event, it's still online for you to view. Click on any of these screenshots to check out the live version.

View of the home page. Ads were included to help cover the costs of the site, and donations were accepted as well.

The 'About' page was read by thousands, and included an embedded video of the rally announcement.

The polls gave the site an interactive feel. Thousands of visitors voted on their favorite satirical rally sign messages, and submitted their own ideas as well.
